A popular alternative to buying a new Aga is to install a well-maintained used one. Over the years, our clients have requested everything from “as old and characterful as possible” — giving the impression the Aga has been in their home forever — to “in excellent condition without the cost of full re-enamelling” for a fresher, like-new appearance. We can accommodate all preferences.

Refurbishment & Re-Enamelling

During the Electrickit installation, your Aga is almost completely dismantled — the perfect opportunity to make upgrades or cosmetic changes. Whether you want to replace worn lids, choose a new colour, or fully refurbish your Aga, we can handle it.

Each used Aga is refurbished with care:

  • Original enamelled parts (lid rims, top, and front) are retained, or replaced according to your preference

  • Thorough cleaning throughout

  • New lid liners, braids, and oven tunnels fitted as standard

  • New Electrickit conversion installed — choose Original or Classic

  • Installation within 100 miles of Hamble (SO31)

Optional Upgrades

You can also choose to partially or fully upgrade your Aga, including:

  • Complete new lids

  • Re-enamelled front or top panels in the colour of your choice

  • Shot-blasted and cleaned ovens

  • Induction hob to replace the left-hand conventional electric hob

Red post 74 oven aga

The original front panels (from 1976) were in excellentcondition but needed a very thorough clean. Had complete new top and lids, ovens shot blasted, and electrickit conversion

White Standard 2 oven aga

This had been re-enamelled 10 years ago by the previous owner. In addition to the new Electrickit conversion, it needed a good clean, a new black top, new lid liners and shot blasted ovens amongst other work.

 
 
 

Induction hob added and old blue front panel replaced with good used cream one

During the conversion, changed the old blue front panel for a good condition pre-owned one in cream. We upgraded the left-hand hob to a 1.6 kW induction hob (now available from Oilwarm as part of the Electrickit conversion kit). We also replaced the lid liners, braids, door backs, and seals to give this Aga a fresh appearance and improved performance.
