Developed by the original designer of the popular Electrickit conversion for Agas, the Energiser conversion offers a modern, electric-only solution for older Rayburns that are no longer practical to run on gas, oil, or solid fuel.
Once converted, your Rayburn becomes a cooker-only appliance — it will no longer heat water or radiators, but it will retain the timeless look and feel you love.
Most Rayburn models can be converted — contact us to check if yours is suitable.
How It Works
Two electric elements are fitted — one for the hob and one for the oven, each with its own thermostat and control.
Use the hob, the oven, or both at the same time with complete flexibility.
The hob heats up in 10–15 minutes, while the oven reaches 200°C in around 1.5 hours (a little longer for 400 Series models).
Add a digital or Wi-Fi timer to schedule operation and reduce energy use — Wi-Fi models let you control the cooker remotely.
No flue or servicing required — just simple, efficient, controllable cooking.
Why Convert Your Rayburn?
Keep your Rayburn — without relying on fossil fuels
Easier to use and faster to heat up
More control and flexibility
No servicing or maintenance
Lower running costs
Power & Running Costs
Requires a single 13-amp fused spur (or two for 400 Series Rayburns).
At 32p per kWh, average oven running costs per 24 hours:
150°C: ~£1.60
180°C: ~£3.68
200°C: ~£5.22
Hob use varies, so costs depend on your cooking habits and insulation quality.
